The Greek boat GRE 359 claimed first place in the Corinthian division, at an event featuring 40 boats and more than 160 sailors from 14 countries.
The crew of Grivalia’s RS21 (GRE 359) was crowned World Champion in the Corinthian division of the RS21 World Championship 2026, which concluded last week in Cannes, France.
The event took place from 28 to 31 October, hosted by the Yacht Club de Cannes.
The 5th RS21 World Championship, organised by the International RS21 Class Association in collaboration with RS Sailing, brought together an exceptionally competitive international fleet, including Olympians, World Champions, crews holding National and European titles, as well as professional sailors with experience in the America’s Cup, among others.

Hellenic Sailing League powered by Grivalia: the foundation of a world-class success
The success in Cannes was no coincidence.
The Hellenic Sailing League powered by Grivalia (the League), an initiative of the Yacht Club of Greece (YCG) and Grivalia, laid the groundwork for this distinction throughout 2026. The three regattas of its inaugural season offered crews consistent racing practice, a high level of competition and invaluable experience in conditions closely resembling those of major international events.
The League aims to serve as a launchpad for Greek crews seeking to compete and excel at World Championships and other high-profile international events.
The journey of GRE 359 demonstrates that competing in the League can translate into genuine competitiveness on the world stage.
