George Chryssikos

Chairman & CEO

George has founded Grivalia Hospitality platform in 2015 to deploy capital in the very attractive high-end hospitality sector in Greece and abroad. The company has already invested in seven hospitality assets with an estimated value of over €1.2 bn and it is managed by Grivalia Management Company.

George Chryssikos founded Grivalia Management Company and has an active leading and managing role. At this moment Grivalia has € 3.1 bn of assets under management and continues capital deployment in the Greek real estate sector.

George served as Chief Executive Officer, Executive BoD member and Chairman of the Investment Committee of Grivalia Properties REIC. Together with his team, George has completed real estate transactions of over €1.5 bn in commercial and leisure real estate.

George is currently Vice Chairman, Non-Executive Director of the BoD of Eurobank Group.

In the past George was Managing Director of Corporate Value Partners, CEO of DTZ in Greece, BoD advisor at Iaso Healthcare Group and Senior Associate in McKinsey & Co at the London Office specializing in private equity. He has also experience in the construction industry in Greece, having worked as Project manager for more than 2 years in a specialized construction company.

George holds an MBA in Corporate Finance & Strategy from Columbia Business School (NY), an MSc in Engineering & Construction Management from UC Berkeley (CA) and a MEng in Civil Engineering from National Technical University of Athens. In his younger age, George was a National Champion in sailing and member of the Greek National Sailing Team for many years.

Jamie Lowry

Vice Chairman

Jamie Lowry is Managing Director and member of the investment committee at Hamblin Watsa Investment Counsel, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited which manages Fairfax investments in Europe. Prior to joining Hamblin Watsa in 2016, he has worked successively as equity analyst and fund manager at Schroders Investment Management London, since 2004.

He was a founding member of the Value Investing team at Schroders managing $15 billion in Global equity assets. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and holds a BSc in financial and business economics from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Spyros Athanitis

Member

Spyros Athanitis is the Director of the Investment Department and a member of the Investment Committee of the Eurolife FFH Insurance.

He joined Eurolife FFH in 2006, while in the past, he worked as a Director of Investment Management and Financial Analysis divisions in Mutual Fund and Asset Management Companies. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Diorama Private Equity Fund. He holds a “M.Sc. in Finance” from the University of Leicester, UK and a “B.Sc. in Business Administration - Accounting and Finance” from Deree - the American College of Greece.

Wolfgang M. Neumann

A C-level executive in the global Hospitality, Travel and Tourism sector with a broad understanding of consumer facing service industries. Wolfgang draws from his vast international experience in mature and emerging markets in a multi brand environment and bundles today - under his company Neumann Hospitality - a diversified portfolio of non-executive director and strategic advisory roles such as:

  • Chairman of the Board, Hotel School The Hague (The Netherlands)
  • Chairman of Board, Sustainable Hospitality Alliance (United Kingdom)
  • Non- Executive Director and Strategic Advisor, Guestline Hospitality Software (UK)

Until 2017 Wolfgang was CEO of The Radisson Hospitality Group, formally known as Rezidor AB. Nasdaq OMX Stockholm listed and one of the most dynamic hotel companies in EMEA, it has a portfolio of 450+ hotels and 100,000+ rooms in 80+ countries.

Before joining Radisson, he was CEO for Arabella Hospitality Group in Munich, Germany and a member of the supervisory board of Schoerghuber Holding.

He spent more than 20 years with Hilton, building his career from General Manger to President Hilton Europe and Africa.

Wolfgang is passionate about developing teams and empowering talent as mentor and coach. While results driven, he is focussed on value creation for all stakeholders and committed to sustainable business practices.

He was born in Austria, speaks five languages and was educated at the Institute for Hotel & Tourism Management Klessheim (Salzburg) which he completed with a programme at Insead in Fontainebleau and Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.

Ignace Charles Rotman

Ignace Rotman is a Founding Partner of Nevastar Finance, an independent international investment firm founded in 2003 with presence in the UK, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Beforehand, Ignace worked as an Investment Banker at Goldman Sachs concentrating on M&A, IPOs and other investor-related advisory roles and worked as a Consultant at McKinsey & Company counselling international businesses on corporate strategy.

Ignace holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia University (New York) and a Master of Science in Microelectronic Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology of Lausanne (EPFL). Ignace was also a member of the Swiss Davis Cup tennis team.

Anastasios Ioannidis

Tasos Ioannidis is a seasoned executive in the hospitality and high-end food & beverage industry. Over the past decade, Tasos has played a pivotal role in the expansion of the Matsuhisa restaurants brand throughout Europe, which currently numbers more than 12 locations under license and supervision. For more than 20 years, Tasos has been successfully co-running the operation of the Belvedere Hotel in Mykonos.

Further, he currently manages the development of a luxury 5-star hotel in Mykonos, to be operated by a major hotel operator, and two hotels in Santorini. His team also operates two boutique hotels in the Cyclades. In the past, Tasos has been a strategic advisor of a leading international hotel management brand in relation to its product. Tasos holds an LLM from Georgetown University and graduated first of class in his undergraduate law studies in Paris Pantheon Sorbonne.

Alexandros Sarrigeorgiou

Alexander Sarrigeorgiou is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of the Eurolife FFH Insurance Group.
He joined Eurolife in 2004 and in the past, he has worked for large multinational Groups in Greece and the USA.

He is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Association of Insurance Companies, Vice president of Insurance Europe, member of the Advisory Board of Directors of Α.Μ. Nomikos Transworld Maritime Agencies S.A. and member of the Executive Board of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

He also serves as Chairman of the Hellenic Advisory Board of the South East European Studies (SEESOX), University of Oxford, member of the Board, member of the Executive and Nomination Committee of the Foundation for Economic & Industrial Research (IOBE) and member of the General Council of Hellenic Federation for Enterprises (SEV). He is also Vice President of the Board of the Wharton Club of Greece.

Amongst other Boards, he was on the Board of S&B Industrial Minerals Holdings S.A.R.L. as well as the Greek Capital Commission (Financial Markets Regulator) and the Hellenic Institute for Insurance Studies.

Alexander holds an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MSc and BSc in Civil Engineering, from Columbia University.
